What I Have Been Up To!

Hi Family!

It's been a few weeks since I last updated my blog. I pray that all of you are doing well and are continuing to pursue the heart of Christ and taking advantage of every minute that God has given you!  Time has flown by so fast!  It's so crazy..I have been in Virginia for a month and 3 days:) I am settling in quite nice and I fall more and more in love with my new home everyday! A few weeks ago, I found that I can walk to the Potomac river in like 15 minutes from my house and go canoeing....my family and I are going for a hike to the river on Saturday:)...ahhh.I really love how God has blessed to be so close to his beautiful creation.

I have went to visit a couple of churches in the past couple weeks and they have both been great. I first checked out Grace Covenant (which is about 20 minutes from me) and I really liked it. The pastor brought a great word that day and the people were very loving. Their was a even mixture of races and ages, which I liked. They also have so many opportunities to serve in the community and in D.C., which I love. They also are big on stopping social injustices such as child slavery. Last week, I visited our neighborhood church that my family goes to, which is only 5 minutes away from our house. The pastor is from California (which is cool) and is real down to earth. It was different for me, because the majority of the church was made up of middle aged white people, and I am not used to that..not that anything is wrong with it..I am just not used to it..:) But I see as a chance to grow and be stretched..so we shall see. I would really appreciate your prayers for me as I go about choosing a church home. I plan to continue to visit these two churches to learn more about the people and the pastor.

I have been working on some really cool projects in the past months..and I can't wait to tell you all about them..but I will save that for my next blog:)

Thanks so much for everyone who has been continuing to uplift me in prayer..even though I am across the country.I am still with you in Spirit and I really miss you all. It's been so cool to receive letters from some of you...thank you so much!
